King C. Brown spent 14 years with the Hollywood Police Department in Hollywood, Florida as a Crime Scene Investigator. During his career at Hollywood Police he received the Employee of the Year Award in 1989, Employee of the Month Award on 5 occasions, 2 Administrative Excellence Awards, The Safe Driving, Perfect Attendance, Unit Citation Award, The Chiefs Special Recognition Awards, City of Hollywood’s Meritorious Service Award and 17 Departmental Commendations. King retired from the Hollywood Police Department to become the Crime scene Unit Supervisor at the West Palm Beach Police Department.

 

After moving to West Palm Beach, Florida King assumed command of the Crime Scene Unit comprised of 10 members. At The West Palm Beach Police Department King has received The Civilian Employee of the Year Award 2003, Civilian Employee of the Quarter 2003, 7 Departmental Commendations, 6 Certificates of Appreciation, and The Service Certificate.

 

Mr. Brown’s Accomplishments include being certified as a Senior Crime Scene Analyst by the International Association for Identification and obtaining his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. Mr. Brown’s forensic education extends to over 1165 hours in Forensic Science related courses, Photography, Computers, Management and Terrorism Training. Additionally, King serves, as Chairman of the Crime Scene Investigation Sub-Committee for the IAI, Chairman of the Crime Scene Certification FDIAI, is the President of the Gold Coast Forensic Association. Mr. Brown is a member of the IAI, FDIAI, SFFA, GCFA and IABPA.

 

Mr. Brown is an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Community College in the Crime Scene Technology Associates Degree Program were he teaches Basic & Advanced Crime Scene Technology, Basic & Advanced Crime Scene Photography and Latent Fingerprint Development Techniques. King is also an instructor for The Public Safety Institute (IPTM) in Orlando, Florida and is a Florida Department of Law Enforcement certified law enforcement instructor. King has also been a lecturer at the yearly Educational Conferences for the International Association for Identification since 1996.
