Laser (LIDAR) Speed Enforcement Operator Certification Course

This course will be modified to the level of expertise in the audience and can be adapted in the classroom for multiple levels of experience and understanding. This class can be further broken down into two classes should the need arise.

Training Goals and Objectives

The goal of this (3) three-day, 24-hour operator certification course is to produce a certified LIDAR Laser Operator with knowledge, skills and abilities when using a Laser Speed enforcement device. This class will provide participants with the materials, practical training and knowledge to use law enforcement LIDAR Laser speed measurement enforcement devices.

Training Audience, Format and Content

This course is intended for various levels of law enforcement officers who are interested in utilizing laser speed enforcement devices. This course is designed to consist of both classroom lectures and field practical work with laser speed enforcement devices. This class normally operates on an 8-hour, 3-day time slot from 0830 hours to 1630 hours, but can be both modified and extended if needed. This class works best when the student population is under 25 participants, but can extend to a maximum of 40 students.
