Surveillance/Counter Surveillance Detection Techniques

Training Goals and Objectives

The goal of the training program is to prepare the sworn law enforcement officer, investigator, or military operatives to understand the behavior, techniques modus operandi and tactics of clandestine operators.

The course will be focused on providing information and techniques to who are involved in the many facets of VIP protection personnel, surveillance / counter surveillance, and undercover units. Each area by it self is an area of expertise requiring detailed individual course instruction.

Training Audience, Format, and Content

This course is intended for various levels of experienced sworn law enforcement officers, general / specialized narcotic investigators, military, VIP protection, and prosecutorial entities. Students will learn surveillance and intelligence survival tools and recognition techniques, and recognize indicators of clandestine activity being committed against them during their normal operations. Methods will be learned on carrying out measures to prevent such acts.

This course is most successful when taught and received with audiences of 50 officers or fewer, but has been given in groups of 100 or more with successful reviews. The smaller groups enable officers to have more direct dialog with the instructor and the other students.

This is customized 4-23 day course. The course is designed to be conducted from 0800 to 1800 hours daily, but will require evening and overnight training assignments. NOTE: This course is labor and time intense! This program is physically and psychologically challenging. Instructional content requires a large quantity of practical application learning. A typical “on your feet” training and instruction day will be from 0800 - 1800 hours. (10-hour workdays)
