Sergeant Adam Ringle is presently the Incident Management Safety and Training Coordinator for the Special Operations Division of the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) in Wilmington, Delaware. As a State of Delaware Certified Police Master Instructor, Police Training Manager, and American Heart Association Instructor Trainer, Mr. Ringle trains state and local law enforcement officers, fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, as well as private corporations. Mr. Ringle is a State of Delaware certified Hazardous Materials Technician, a Department of Energy MERTT instructor, and a Louisiana State University certified Homeland Security Instructor, and as such he conducts training for many Delaware agencies in terrorism response, counter-terrorism measures, hazardous materials, and incident management. Mr. Ringle is an EMS Instructor and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Instructor for the Delaware State Fire School and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He currently provides Paramedic support to his own division as well as numerous other divisions within his agency. Mr. Ringle also serves as the operations safety officer for the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Team of the Wilmington Police Department and is responsible for the supervision of the EOD medical support program for WPD. Mr. Ringle has been recognized for his excellence as an EMS Supervisor. He has successfully commanded several large scale incidents and managed multi-jurisdictional training drills. He currently supervises two tactical Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) as well as several EMS instructors for the WPD. Mr. Ringle has extensive knowledge in the implementation and management of medical training programs, automated external defibrillation programs, and WMD response plans. He has assisted many law enforcement agencies and corporations around the country in the development and implementation of such programs. Mr. Ringle currently serves as a consultant for many of these agencies and has generated and successfully implemented numerous traffic enforcement and medical training programs. He also provides case review and expert witness services for both private and government entities directly. Mr. Ringle currently holds
certification as a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and has served as
an EMT-Critical Care in the State of New York. He served four years as
the Director of EMS for New York Institute of Technology and an
additional three years as a Captain for Exchange Ambulance of the
Islip’s in New York. Mr. Ringle is also an instructor for the University
of Maryland Department of Emergency Health Services at Baltimore County,
and has been a training consultant with the Taylor Group based out of
Cottonwood, Arizona for the last seven years. He has over 16 years field
experience as both a provider and supervisor of EMS operations and more
than 10 years experience as a Police Officer. Mr. Ringle was awarded the
Police Officer of the Quarter in the year 2000, as well as Instructor of
the Year from the AHA in 1999. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business
Administration from Wilmington College of Delaware, is certified in
numerous technically specific areas of law enforcement and EMS, and has
been published in various trade journals. |
